MaXimumbreak's coaching recruit from India is Vijay Kumar. Vijay is an experienced coach having been involved in the game for more than 20 years. Based in Chennai, Vijay has coached professionally for the last 10 years, during which time he has coached nearly 400 players.

Vijay has an impressive track record having coached a number of junior national champions. Recently, one of Vijay’s students participated in the world under 21 championships held in Goa.

Vijay has also just opened his own snooker academy where you will be treated to the very warmest of receptions at this very impressive coaching establisment.

Regarding coaching methods and practices, Vijay enjoys maintaining an involvement in all of his students’ progress; not just during one-to-one session time. He professes that his students regularly contact him via mobile phone at all hours of the day to discuss how they played in their last match and for tips to improve their game. Unlike many snooker coaches, Vijay also teaches various psychological constructs including motivation, discipline, meditation, handling the media, anxiety and pressure, understanding the sub-conscious and concentration.
