Bond hopes for big Crucible break
Nigel Bond is relishing his return to Sheffield's Crucible Theatre for this year's World Snooker Championship.
The 43-year-old Derbyshire cueman, a beaten finalist in 1995, faces former world champion Peter Ebdon in the first round on Tuesday.
And Bond, who lives in Old Tupton, told BBC East Midlands Today: "It's every player's dream to play there.
"The crowd are really on top of you and it creates a fantastic atmosphere to play snooker in."
Bond lost to Stephen Hendry 18-9 in the final 14 years ago, but went on to win the British Open a year later.
