Both semi finals went against predictions Joe Jogia thrashed event favourite Ricky Walden 5-0 hardly letting the top 16 bound player have a clear cut chance the home club player making breaks of 80,70,69 and finally a clinical 60 clearance in the 5th frame.

Robert Milkins overcame Judd Trump 5-4 in an entertaining match Trump made breaks of 68 and 67 to lead 2-1 Milkins came back to lead 3-2 and 4-3 with a 72 break.

Trailing 57-0 in the 8th frame Trump fired in a 77 to force the decider only for Milkins to fire in a decisive run of 74.

The final commenced brilliantly Milkins from a fluke cleared the table with a 137, Jogia countered with a 56, Milkins responded with 92 and looked to heading for a 3-1 interval lead opening with a 55 break however Jogia with a very good 55 clearance squared the match on the black.

Milkins won the 5th frame to nil, Jogia again drew level at 3-3 with a 69, Milkins knocked in his 2nd ton of the final 118 to lead yet again.

The 8th frame was the only scrappy one of the final Jogia three misses on the final three reds proving disastrous, Milkins pocketing the £5000 first prize at a well attended event.
