The United States Snooker Association (USSA), established in 1991 in Chicago, Illinois, is the non-profit governing body for the sport of snooker in the USA as recognized by the world snooker governing body, the International Billiard & Snooker Federation (IBSF).
The reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed El Sayed, has recorded the first- ever century break to be compiled in a United States Snooker Association (USSA) Tour event, but it was Omar Balsara who won a high-quality Event 4 at the prestigious New York Athletic Club (NYAC).
The twice United States National Snooker Championship semifinalist, Andrew Barlow, has won Event 3 of the 2010 United States Snooker Association (USSA) Tour, with victory at the California Billiard Club in Mountain View, California. A small but fervent band of snooker enthusiasts convened on Saturday, March 13th. The event was sponsored by CBC with a very generous $300 of added cash.
Defending Prince Club tour stop champion Raymond Fung has defeated the reigning United States National Snooker Champion, Ahmed Ali, to secure victory at Event 2 of the 2010 United States Snooker Association National Tour at the Prince Snooker Club in Brooklyn, New York.
The United States Snooker Association (USSA) initiated its 2nd Annual USSA National Snooker Tour with the first stop on the Tour at Embassy Billiards Club - directed by USSA director Richard Ham - in San Gabriel, CA, February 16-19. The event enjoyed a 12-player field.
