Graeme DottWorld champion Graeme Dott claimed his second group win at the Grand Prix in Aberdeen, but again hit out at the new best-of-five frame round-robin format.
Dott had a highest break of 93 as he won 3-0 against former UK amateur champion Mark Allen.

Dott said: "It feels really awkward. If I get through to the last 16 it will feel like playing a best of 33."

Six-times world champion Steve Davis is on the verge of going out after being beaten 3-1 by fellow oldie David Roe.

Malta Cup winner Ken Doherty grabbed his second win with a 3-1 victory over Pickering's Paul Davison, compiling breaks of 59 and 57 in the process.

Australian left-hander Neil Robertson claimed his second win, a 3-1 triumph over Bristol-based youngster Judd Trump.

But Anthony Hamilton has it all to do after his second successive loss.

Last season's Welsh Open winner always trailed Leicester's Tom Ford, slipping to a 3-2 defeat despite breaks of 99, 51 and 42.

Ding Junhui was upset by another Bristol player, part-time delivery van driver Andrew Norman.

Norman triumphed 3-2 thanks to breaks of 61 and 69, while Chinese teenager Ding impressed with runs of 46 and 60.

All matches are played on a best-of-five frames basis, with the top two in each group going through to the last 16 when the event reverts to a knockout format.
