EASB REGIONAL TOUR RANKINGS

Mitchell Travis, Scunthorpe, extended his fine run of late by winning the English Regional Junior Tour Event 2 Rileys Cue Ball, Derby defeating Damien Wilks, Bradford 2-1 in the final to head the rankings.

Travis who reached the last eight of the first event lost the opening frame of the final to Wilks who did not qualify from the group stage last month in Leeds, Travis took the next two frames easily (13-53), (52-14), (55-22).

The winner posted the best record in the group stages earlier in the day winning 14 of his 15 frames going on to beat Jordan Watson 2-1, Gareth Green 2-1 and Carl Mottershaw up to 2nd place in his 2nd successive semi final 2-0.

Wilks lost one game in the group going on to defeat Jonathan Buglass and Ryan Duffy both 2-1 and James Voyce 2-0 to reach the final and 5th place in the rankings.

Richard Remelie, Antony Jeffers, Sameer Knight, Martin Ball, Mottershaw and Jamie Gibson all topped their groups, Jeffers and Mottershaw unbeaten.

Opening event runner up Thomas Pendlebury could only mange 5th place in his group behind Knight and Ryan Duffy, Knight losing out 2-1 James Voyce in a keen all Leicester last 16 clash Voyce clinching matters with a 73 break.

Antony Jeffers made the regions highest break 81.

Event 3 takes place at the Hartlepool SC – Sunday 18th November.

Cambridge SC hosts the South on the Saturday 17th November.

The closing date for Event 4 is 7th January with Cue Gardens, Bradford and Newmarket SC staging the days play on Sunday 3rd February.
