Mark Rowing, Doncaster the 1987 English Amateur Champion will play Colin Norton, Waterlooville in the English Seniors final, 23rd – 24th May, World Snooker Academy, Sheffield.

Rowing defeated former fellow professional Graham Cripsey 4-1, Phil Hartley 4-2 who drew level at 2-2 and finally Gary Miller also 4-2 from 2-1 down making a 53 break.

Norton endured two deciding frame finishes beating Mike Henson 4-3 on the black after Henson made a 55 break for 3-3 and John Prime 4-3 trailing 3-1 Norton found a  40 break in the decider.

To finish he whitewashed the holder Nick Pearce 4-0 who had made the days two highest breaks 75 and 77 earlier, Pearce leading 16-15 in the 4th frame conceded the match after missing an easy red.
