English Club Players Final 2008-09

Alex Dunkley, 20 crushed Mike Faulkner, 63,  5-0 to win the English Club Players Championship, World Snooker Academy, English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

Jurys Inn sponsored the EASB finals weekend and also provided accommodation for players and officials.

Frame scores Alex Dunkley first :
(77-31), 35(48-40), (66-35), (51-37), 63(98-8) : 5-0

Apart from the first and last frames either player could have won the middle frames both players guilty of missing balls they both would pot in normal circumstances, Faulkner suffering the most.

Dunkley won the first frame comfortably a break of 35 saw him take the 2nd frame eventually on the pink the 3rd and 4th frame on the blue as Faulkner spurned bread and butter pots.

Some normality returned in the final frame 63 from Dunkley and the first national title for Chandlers Ford SC player.
