ENGLISH SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP

STEVE JUDD V GARY MORRIS

Former English Amateur Champion Steve Judd will play Gary Morris in the English Seniors final May 22^nd / 23^rd at the EASB finals weekend.

Judd who defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan in the English Amateur cruised through to the final beating last season’s runner up Colin Norton 4-0 first frame on a respot, Ashley Beal 4-0 and holder Mark Rowing 4-1 with a break of 70 to lead 2-1.

Rowing also a former Eng/Am winner played very well in the quarter finals beating Gary Miller 4-1 with efforts of 107,54,54 and 49, Miller 54.

Morris took much longer to reach the final beating John Welsh 4-3 from 3-2 down Tony Buckley 4-3 after leading 3-1 finishing with a 63 break and finally Mike Smith 4-2 who led 2-1 with breaks of 71 and 50 in the same frame.

Morris won the 4^th and 5^th frames on the black the latter on a re spot, Smith had beaten Les Dodd 4-0 in the last eight.
