Meet The Maximumbreak.com Team
I am the founder of Maximumbreak Snooker and have been working to try and create a snooker web site to help players from the beginner to the well seasoned campaigner, who are looking to improve their game. I am an avid snooker fanatic and like to play as much as I can in my spare time. I have been playing snooker on and off for about 20 years and started learning the game in a large snooker hall in Accrington Lancashire and spent most of my spare time there due to a road traffic accident in 1983. Since then, I progressed onto the highest amatuer level almost making it into the professional ranks, but then i devoted most of my time to my family and new born child back in 1991, since then i have stayed hooked by this wonderful game after coming back from an 8 year retirement. Neil is the sites project manager who oversees all the offline ventures for the future of maximumbreak, and who is a very good snooker and pool player who is currently on the IPA Pool tour reaching the final stages of most tournaments so far. I achieved a Masters Degree in Sports and Coaching Science in 2003 and it is this background that I feel has a place within snooker today. Gone are the days of lager swilling, overweight players (no names mentioned and so no harm intended!). It’s refreshing to hear top players discussing their mental state, their fitness levels, their weight, their concentration and how these important factors influence their performance. We will be launching a series of Sports Science articles soon and we are pleased to bring you the views of our resident snooker coach Mick Caddy, who is well aware of the scientific principles of performance and how to get the best out of his players.
I have been involved in snooker for over 35 years as a player, snooker club owner and coach. I enjoy passing my interest and enjoyment of the sport onto others by coaching. During my time I have coached players of all abilities, from 8 year olds to 78 year olds. Over the years I have been lucky enough to coach professionals such as Ian McCulloch and Christopher Norbury (both of whom I’ve coached for over ten years)– to name a few, as well as other professionals who have made it into the top 64 of the World Rankings.

Eric Willemsen is a Dutch journalist, who has contributed to several newspapers and magazines in the Netherlands since 1990. In 2005, Eric moved to Vienna, Austria, where he is currently working as a sports writer with Associated Press. Eric has been playing snooker since the early nineties -- and is still hoping to crack his highest break..
We would like to welcome Eric to Maximumbreak and we wish him all the success with his new Austrian snooker section. My name is Nick Kenny and I started reviewing products for Maxbreak.com earlier this year. I have been playing Snooker on and off for the past 25 years. My first memories of Snooker would have been watching it on the TV in the late 70's with my grandparents, so like a lot of lucky people I started taking a real interest in the sport during the superb times of the early 80's. I had my first 4 x 2 table aged 10 and soon graduated to the lofty heights of a 6 x 3 about 12 months later. In late 1982 we were fortunate enough in my home town of Barnstaple to have 3 clubs open up totalling 34 tables and I still remember those first tentative steps up into The Strand Snooker club aged 12 and standing in awe at the shear size of a full sized table.
I first got involved with junior snooker when my son Alex, who now plays on the EASB Premier Junior Tour, joined Chandler’s Ford in 2000. I help run the junior section with club-owner Jim Everett and have run the highly successful £1,000 Under-21 Roll Up for nearly four years. I write the snooker stories which feature in the Southern Daily Echo every Saturday. I also write for CueSport magazine, Andy Voyce’s juniorsnooker.com, sotonsnooker.com (which covers cue sports in the Over the last few years, Chandler’s Ford has started to make a name for itself, nationally. The club produced an England international and the 2006 World Ladies Junior Champion. We currently have two players on the EASB Premier Junior Tour and coming through the ranks are two of the country’s
We think Tim is going to be a great asset to Maximumbreak and wish him all the success in this snooker section. Regards,
Date of birth: 18 September 1966 I will be writing articles for Maximumbreak on german snooker which will hopefully give members of the site an insight into how popular the game has become in recent years.
We feel that Gerhard is going to be a great asset to Maximumbreak and we are sure our german members will be able to get some good information from this section of the site, we all wish him all the very best of success in this snooker section. Regards,
Gary Kevany is an Irish journalist, who has contributed to several newspapers in the Ireland and is now writing for MaXimumbreak, Gary will be visiting many tournaments to report on the event and to interview professional and amatuer players alike. Since a very young age Gary has been an avid follower and indeed participant of snooker. In his years playing, Garyby his own admission never became anything more than mediocre, winning local competitions, the occasional regional tournament, being player of the year and participating in the All-Ireland Club Championships. Gary was also involved in an administrative role as secretary of Connaught Snooker at the age of 17. These articles will be published to the site over time. Not all of the articles he has written are archived on the online Western People site but will be uploading those he has. Gary has also covered local and national snooker events, however, doubt's those articles are worth uploading to the site as few could relate to the competitions or have much interest in reading about players from a small town in North Mayo but will provide some links to the articles; in his personal opinion they are far from enthralling and more matter-of-fact than the articles he has written about professionals. We would like to welcome Gary to Maximumbreak and wish him all the success in this snooker section.
Maximumbreak is extremely looking forward to Gary being a regular columnist for MaXimumbreak.com, and is currently working freelance, he's been looking for an internet site to hone his abilities further and hopefully MaXimumbreak will help gary reach a more interested audience than he would have publishing such articles in the local and regional papers that he currently reports for.
From Possibility to Probability... While the masses may still be sitting on the sofa blaming others for their own lack of success, YOU have already separated yourself from the armchair travellers of life by landing here today and I would like to congratulate you on taking that first step. I will explain how I became part of the Life Success Coaching Team and how you and/or your company may benefit by having me as your coach learning from the wealth of knowledge that I have been very fortunate to have acquired. Background The truth is I have been a coach all of my life – I was just not aware that my natural ability to connect with others was a gift. As I ‘matured’, my passion for people became even stronger and I desired to turn it into a career. Friends, family and colleagues encouraged me saying that I would make a fantastic counsellor or coach as I absolutely enjoyed seeing others win. I was not drawn to becoming a counsellor as I am highly pro-active in nature and enjoy looking forward, regardless of past or current results. Now I am not here to tell you that I have an MBA or PHD but I am from the school of hard knocks and am very grateful (now) to all of my life experiences - good and especially the challenging times - as each experience has helped shape who I am today and has given me the impetus and drive to share my skills with you. I get much enjoyment guiding people to find the answers to questions I once sought to move life to the next level. TrainingI formally trained at Newcastle College as a Life Coach gaining a Diploma in Life Coaching. I was coached myself throughout my training and more self development research led me to become a certified Life Success Consultant, personally trained and mentored by Mr Bob Proctor himself and his phenomenal coaching team. Following my coaching journey, I changed houses, spouses, switched careers, increased my income, lost weight and reinvented just about everything to be in alignment with the true self I enjoy today. I love being my own boss running a highly successful coaching practice, working with individuals and in the corporate world. Here in the UK and Internationally I hold many seminars, group sessions and workshops all year round, teaching Bob Proctor’s wealth of material. Win-Win Philosophy You see its simple, I win when my clients do. Psychic income happens for me when I receive emails and calls thanking me for my help and guidance. With your commitment, I can help expand your level of awareness of how to achieve all the great things that you have been wanting to be, do and have. I am living my life every day on purpose and you can find out how to do the same. I teach you that its about the journey itself just as much as it is an end result. I can help you:-
Right now, you're standing on the brink of your possibility. It's time to seek out your destiny. It's time to see and achieve one goal after another with a clear-headed and confident stride ... no matter how big you might think that goal to be.
