Hi and welcome to my home page!

My name is Hannah Jones and i will be bringing news about how i am getting on with my efforts in the womens snooker scene.

This is my first year and i am realy looking forward to getting stuck in and to see just how tough it realy is, i would like to thank MaXimumbreak for helping me with my sponsorship and allowing me to have my very own site held on their servers, nice one guy's it much appreciated!

31st March 2007

Hannah starts her group matches in the 2007 Ladies World Championships. - Hannah drawn in the same group as Reanne Evans, Katie Henrick, Gaye Jones, Marianne Williams and Australian Sam Ridley. Hannah wins her match against Marianne Williams with some excellent snooker. Hannah pushed Katie Henrick in their first frame and watched in admiration as Reanne played some devastating snooker. Joanne Davies beat Sam Ridleys mother to notch up her first World Ladies Snooker win.

11th March 2007

Hannah plays in the final EASB junior tour event of the season at Hartlepool. Hannah played well knocking in a 20 and 22 break. She failed to qualify.

10th March 2007

Hannah plays in the Connie Gough Memorial Trophy in Luton, a world ranking event. Hannah lost in the main event to Gaye Jones and lost in the plate to Pam Wood

4th March 2007

Hannah narrowly misses out on winning the inaugural Derbyshire 14 and under Championships. Losing in the final to Andrew Foster (13).

2nd March 2007

England Ladies team take 3rd place, beating France 5-4 in the play off for 3rd/4th. The mens team Andy Symmons Rowe, Mike King and Greg Batten lost 10-8 to Germany in the semi finals. The German team went on to win the event. The Belgium Ladies who beat Reanne and Hannah in their semi finals also went on to take the Ladies title.

1st March 2007

England Ladies Team qualify for the ETC semi finals. Play at 6pm, St Martinus against favourites Belgium 1, Wendy Jans and Isabelle Jonckheere.

24th February 2007

Hannah wins billiards league match helping her team to a 3-0 win against Corn Exchange.

18th February 2007

Hannah played in the Derbyshire under 17 tournament. She played Tom Kerslake in the first round who beat her 3-0, going on to win the tournament beating Dan Bacon in the final 4-1. In the plate event. Hannah made the semi-final narrowly missing out on a place in the final against Alex Anastasiou through unfortunate run at key stages of the frame. She played well today considering her week at Pontins, and has started to develop a more strategic game of snooker. Alex won the final beating Dwayne Carter 3-0

17th February 2007

The junior snooker league matches started today at the Cueball Club. Hannah played Joanne Davies and won 2-1.

Hannah will be playing at the Pontins Junior Festival - Hannah won 6 of her 8 matches in the round robin matches but failed to qualify for the knockout stages. Adam Bobat beat Shane Castle 2-1 in the final of the 8-11 age group. Hannah had a great time and learnt alot about the quality of her peers and is keen to improve her snooker game to be able to compete next year.

Hannah was interviewed by the Derby Telegraph this evening at the Cueball Snooker Club - Hannah met Jill Galone and talked about her snooker and life to now. I waxed lyrical about Hannah and her achievements. Jill also spoke to Roger and Hannah's mum before photographs were taken of Hannah with her family as well as snooker 'action' shots.

Hannah was interviewed live on BBC Radio Derby by Ross Fletcher at 6pm. - Hannah was very confident during her 4th radio interview and discussed her England selection with Ross Fletcher and Roger Stevenson-Revil.
