HAMPSHIRE’S Jordan Winbourne, aged just 13 ½, has chalked up a first century break.
He compiled a 102 clearance in the Chandler’s Ford SC Open Series.
“I was more nervous after the break than during it,” admitted the Southampton youngster.

Jordan Winbourne, 13, commemorates his first century
Trailing 2-0 to Romsey's Christopher Brown, Winbourne produced a third-frame masterclass in break building
He doubled the penultimate red into the middle to reach 64 and landed perfectly on the pink. The last red was near the cushion between the blue and green pockets. Using the rest, Winbourne stunned the cue-ball for a tricky brown. He cleared the colours as if it was a practice routine.
His coach Duncan Moore, 43, said: “For Jordan to make his first century is a major achievement - for both of us.
“It’s excellent for the lad; I’m so pleased. It’s a major barrier, making a first century. He’ll go on in leaps and bounds now. The stuff I’ve been working on is coming naturally now. He’s a very classy player.”
Delighted dad Chris Winbourne added: “I‘m pleased he’s overcome this hurdle, and extra pleased that it came in a tournament. He’s been stuck on 97 for the best part of two years.”
Winbourne lost the match 3-1.
Seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry made his first century aged 13.
Winbourne, who made his England debut in The Auld Enemy Clash in Glasgow, started playing the game in January 2006.
