Eden Sharav and Anthony McGill triumph in Scottsh junior ranking events
ALLOA’S Eden Sharav clinched a first ever national tournament win in the Scottish under-16 event-four at the Shandon SC, Edinburgh.
A 2-0 victory over Scott Donaldson, from Perth, took the 15-year-old to top spot in the rankings.
Sharav, the fourth different winner this season, progressed though his nine-man round-robin group ahead of event-three finalist Axl Menlove. Donaldson, 13, finished ahead of Jamie Stewart in his group.
Scottish under-19 champion Anthony McGill beat fellow Glaswegian Austin Smith in the first under-21 ranking event final at Rileys, Meadowbank.
McGill, 16, fired in a 94 to take a 3-0 lead and ran out a 4-1 winner after under-19 runner-up Smith went in off the final black. Breaks of 76 and 55 took McGill safely past Michael Polley in the semis.

Number one seed Michael Collumb was knocked out in the last-eight 3-2 by 16-year-old Polley, from Alloa.
