Scottish Snooker’s under-14 national champion Ross Muir has been crowned the youngest ever winner of the Scottish Youth Snooker Association championship.

In front of a packed audience at the World of Snooker matchroom in Edinburgh, the 12-year-old from Musselburgh beat Jamie Stewart, 15, from Dumfries, 4-1.
Muir scored a shock 3-1 victory over Scottish under-16 champion Michael Leslie in the semi-finals.
Five-time Scottish Amateur Champion Bert Demarco, 83, presented ten-year-old Ethan Laing with the Young Personality of the Year award.
Leslie, 15, received the number one medal for finishing top of the ranking list with four tournament wins out of six and the highest break medal for a 101 in the Glasgow Open.
