The chairman of the English Association of Snooker & Billiards is certainly not browned off after 18 months in office
HAVING a sense of humour is a prerequisite for the job of EASB Chairman.
Clive Brown, from Ilminster in Somerset, was elected to the post in August 2006 and has helped to steer the EASB through a difficult period.
Speaking at the national under-14 Southern region qualifiers, Brown said: “I offered my services at the EGM in February 2006.
“In May, the then chairman Toby Cracknell contacted me again and said could I possibly come to a board meeting at the end of the finals weekend, and I signed up to become treasurer.
“With all the changes, within six weeks I’d become chairman.
“As of now, I’m the longest serving board member!” he laughed.
