Trailing 4-2 and by 40 points against Robert Carlisle in the best-of-nine final in the match-room at the World of Snooker in Chesser, Scottish international Collumb cleared with a 60 and ran out a 5-4 winner.
After watching a re-run of the final on a DVD, Collumb said: “I don’t know what I was thinking, playing half the shots I did.”

In the second semi Carlisle, 17, from Edinburgh, beat tournament favourite European Under-19 runner-up Anthony McGill (Glasgow) 5-4 on the blue from 3-1 down.

The inaugural event was sponsored by former Scottish champion Bert Demarco, 83, and the presentation was made by fire-safety expert Dr Frank Rushbrook CBE, 93.
