WOE betide anyone who tries to rip off Alex Dunkley - he now has two sets of legal eagles fighting his corner. Southampton’s youngest Town Champion is competing on the EASB Pro-Ticket tour thanks to a joint sponsorship deal with Lawcomm Solicitors and i-Move Property Lawyers.

The two Hampshire-based law firms will cover all the 19-year-old’s tournament expenses for the 2007/08 season.
Dunkley said: “It came at the right time. I couldn’t have played on the Pro-Ticket Tour without the sponsorship.”
Dunkley, from Southampton, joined national business and property lawyers Lawcomm as an office junior, aged 16. He now works in the accounts department at the firm’s new Whiteley offices.
Managing partner Bill Dhariwal said: “From day one, Alex showed great determination to succeed as a snooker player and we’re delighted to help him achieve his goals.”
But Dhariwal will not appreciate many more late Sunday night calls from the stranded youngster asking for a day off after reaching the final of a Northern tournament.
“It’s only Alex that does that,” he laughed. “It’s an occupational hazard I suppose.”
Amar Sandhu, MD of Hythe-based conveyancing specialists i-move Property Lawyers added: “We wish Alex all the success in the future and hope he gets the chance to live his dream.”
Dunkley joins Chandler’s Ford club-mates Mike Finn (Eastleigh), Mark McLean (North Baddesley) and Peter Maraziotis (West End) in a bid to win a place on the Main Tour.
