Summary
There are hundreds of different wood species that are available for modern day cue building. Some of these woods are more widely used than others. Some woods will be chosen for their decorative and visually appealing grain patterns, whilst others will be chosen for their density to make cue butts.

I have been playing the game of snooker for over 20 years but had to give it up in 2002 and have only played a couple of times due to illness.
